MMA Free Weekly Column for the Week Beginning February 23, 2026
By Raymond Merriman
REVIEW
Financial markets were relatively quiet last week as traders appeared to be positioning ahead of the major geocosmic signature arriving next week — the Saturn-Neptune opposition, exact on February 28.
SHORT-TERM GEOCOSMICS
The week ahead features the Sun conjunct Saturn on Monday (February 23), which often correlates with a short-term low in stock indices and commodities. This could provide an entry point for traders looking to buy the dip ahead of the Neptune opposition.
LONGER-TERM THOUGHTS AND OPINION
Our longer-term view remains that 2026 will be a year of significant volatility and trend changes as multiple long-term planetary cycles converge. The combination of Saturn-Neptune, Uranus entering Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius creates a rare confluence of generational shifts.
