MMA Free Weekly Column for the Week Beginning March 2, 2026

By Raymond Merriman

REVIEW

Markets experienced the type of sharp reversal we have been anticipating as Saturn opposed Neptune within one degree for the first time since 1989-1990. This 36-year cycle aspect has historically coincided with major trend changes in financial markets.

SHORT-TERM GEOCOSMICS

Mercury squares Jupiter on Monday, which can bring exaggerated expectations or overconfidence in trading decisions. This is often a signature for a one-day reversal in stock indices.

LONGER-TERM THOUGHTS AND OPINION

We remain in the critical zone of the 18-year lunar node cycle that began in January. The last time the nodes were in this position (2007-2008), global financial markets experienced a significant restructuring.
